[00:00:00] Speaker A: Sa. Hello. Greetings once again in the mighty name of Jesus. I am your host, Pastor Steve Olotha. Thank you for joining in this episode of Wisdom Seeds. I will be speaking on the message titled 8 Ways to Live with confidence that God is on your side. [00:01:03] Speaker B: Hallelujah. [00:01:05] Speaker A: The Bible says, before I come, give attendance to reading. So we are going to read the Bible. Let's open our Bibles to Hebrews. Chapter 10. We will be reading from verses 35 to 36. [00:01:24] Speaker B: Hallelujah. [00:01:26] Speaker A: The Bible says, do not cast away your confidence, for you have need of endurance so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise. [00:01:40] Speaker B: Hallelujah. [00:01:42] Speaker A: Romans 8:31 says, if God be for us, who can be against us? [00:01:50] Speaker C: Praise the Lord. [00:01:52] Speaker A: Let us pray. Heavenly Father, we thank you for your word. Thank you, Lord, for giving us confidence that you are on our side. We exalt you, O God, and give you all the glory, honor and adoration. [00:02:12] Speaker C: Praise the Lord. [00:02:14] Speaker A: It ways to live with confidence that God is on your side. 1. Be grounded in God's unchanging law. Romans chapter 8. When you read from verses 38 and 39, it says, I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God's law. Confidence begins with knowing you are deeply loved. Hallelujah. Number two. Know who you are in Christ. In second Corinthians 5:17, the word of God says, if anyone be in Christ is a new creature, the old is gone and the new has gone. Anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The life of the old is gone and the new life has begun. [00:03:22] Speaker C: Praise the Lord. [00:03:23] Speaker A: Ephesians 1:3. When you know you are in Christ, intimidation loses its power. [00:03:33] Speaker B: Hallelujah. [00:03:35] Speaker A: 3. Stand on God's promises. Stand. 2nd Corinthians 1:20. All the promises of God in Christ Jesus are yes and Amen. Another translation of that verse says, all of God's promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding yes and through Christ, our Amen. [00:04:01] Speaker B: Hallelujah. [00:04:03] Speaker A: Confidence grows when your feet rest on God's word rather than on feelings. Speak God's promises aloud in moments of fear or doubt. [00:04:18] Speaker B: Hallelujah. [00:04:20] Speaker A: 4. Walk in obedience and righteousness. In 1 John 3:21 2, the apostle says, dear friends, if we don't feel guilty, we can come to God with bold confidence and we will receive from him whatever we ask because we obey him and do the things that please him. A clear conscience produces spiritual boldness. Obedience aligns with you with God's protection and favor. [00:05:02] Speaker B: Hallelujah. [00:05:04] Speaker C: Praise the Lord. [00:05:07] Speaker A: Amen 5. Rely on the presence of the Holy Spirit. In Romans 8:15, the Bible says, you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead you receive God's spirit when he adopted you as his own children in 2nd Timothy 1:7. For God will never give you the spirit of fear, but the Holy Spirit, who gives you mighty power, love and self control. Confidence is empowered by the Spirit, not human strength. Invite the Holy Spirit to fill you and guides you daily. Amen. Number six. God's faithfulness in the past. Remember it. Remember God's faithfulness in the past. The psalmist in Psalm 77:11 he said, but then I recall all you have done, O Lord. I remember your wonderful deeds of long ago. They are constantly in my thoughts. I cannot stop thinking about your mighty works. [00:06:32] Speaker C: Praise the Lord. [00:06:35] Speaker A: Praise the Lord. Past victories are reminders that God will act again. He will do it again. Rehearse your testimony of God's faithfulness where fear arises. [00:06:52] Speaker B: Hallelujah. [00:06:53] Speaker A: He will do it again. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Number seven. Pray boldly and persistently in 1 John 5, 14:15. The Bible says, this is the confidence that we have that when we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And since we know that he hears on, we make our request and we know that it is granted. [00:07:23] Speaker B: Hallelujah. [00:07:25] Speaker A: Bold prayer reflects confidence in God's willingness to respond. Approach God with assurance, not hesitation. If you ask anything according to his will, he hears you. [00:07:40] Speaker C: Praise the Lord. [00:07:42] Speaker A: God doesn't say yes. God doesn't say no. God doesn't say or delay. Answer to your prayer. If you ask anything according to his will, the Bible says He hears you. [00:07:58] Speaker B: Hallelujah. [00:08:00] Speaker A: Amen. Keep an eternal perspective. Second Corinthians, chapter 4, verse 17. The NLT. You see, for our present troubles are small and won't last for very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever. [00:08:24] Speaker C: Praise the Lord. [00:08:26] Speaker A: Your present troubles are small compared to the glory of God that will be revealed. [00:08:34] Speaker C: Praise the Lord Forevermore. [00:08:37] Speaker A: Confidence is sustained when eternity outweighs temporary challenges. Those your challenges are temporal. [00:08:47] Speaker B: Hallelujah. [00:08:50] Speaker A: Yet they produce for you a glory that vastly outweighs them. Your problem will not last forever. [00:08:59] Speaker C: Praise the Lord. [00:09:03] Speaker A: Make this declaration with me. God is for me. With me and walking through me. I walk in faith and not fear. I walk in faith, not by sight, because the Lord is on my side. Let us pray. Father, thank you. You are for me and not against me. If God be for me, who can be against me? Help me to live with bold faith, unwavering confidence and trust in your promises. [00:09:41] Speaker B: Hallelujah. [00:09:42] Speaker A: Strengthen my heart to walk fearlessly knowing you are always with me. In Jesus mighty name, Amen. [00:09:52] Speaker B: Hallelujah. [00:09:54] Speaker C: Praise the Lord forevermore. [00:09:58] Speaker A: Amen. Thank you for listening to this message. It ways to live with confidence that God is on your side. Remember you are deeply loved, eternally valued and still blessed. In Jesus name, Amen. Before I come your way again, my name is Pastor Stephen Olofa. Thank you. Share this message. Amen.
