[00:00:00] Speaker A: Foreign.
Hello, you are welcome to my podcast Wisdom Seeds. I am Pastor Steve Olofa. Stay blessed as you listen to this episode.
[00:00:31] Speaker B: Wisdom Seeds.
[00:00:33] Speaker C: Org how to Walk with God Every Day Too Today we are talking about
[00:00:37] Speaker B: a question that many Christians ask. How can I walk with God every day?
[00:00:41] Speaker C: Many people want a closer relationship with God.
[00:00:45] Speaker B: They want to pray more.
They want to understand the Bible better.
[00:00:50] Speaker C: They want to hear God's guidance more clearly.
They want to live a life that pleases Him.
[00:00:56] Speaker B: But the demands of everyday life can become overwhelming.
Work, family responsibilities, financial pressure, social media distractions, unexpected problems.
[00:01:12] Speaker C: Before you realize it, the day is over and you may feel as though
[00:01:15] Speaker B: you have spent very little time with God.
[00:01:18] Speaker C: But walking with God is not reserved for a few special moments each week.
[00:01:22] Speaker B: Walking with God is a daily relationship.
It is not simply something you do on Sunday.
It is a way of living.
1. Walking with God begins with a relationship Genesis 5:24 says, Enoch walked faithfully with
[00:01:41] Speaker C: God, then he was no more because God took him away.
[00:01:44] Speaker B: 1:12 the Bible does not simply say that Enoch knew about God.
[00:01:49] Speaker C: It says that he walked with God.
[00:01:51] Speaker B: Walking suggests movement and relationship.
[00:01:54] Speaker C: When two people walk together, they spend time together.
[00:01:58] Speaker B: They communicate.
[00:02:00] Speaker C: They share the same direction.
[00:02:03] Speaker B: Walking with God means that you are not simply learning information about him, you are developing a relationship with Him.
The Christian life is not merely about religious activity.
It is about knowing God.
[00:02:16] Speaker C: Jesus said in John 17, verse 3, now this is eternal life that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.
You can attend church and still fail to develop a daily relationship with God.
[00:02:29] Speaker B: You can read books about prayer without actually praying.
[00:02:33] Speaker C: You can listen to sermons without obeying God's Word.
Walking with God means moving from simply knowing about him to knowing him personally.
2.
[00:02:45] Speaker B: Begin your day with God One of
[00:02:48] Speaker C: the most practical ways to walk with God every day is to begin your day with him.
Psalm 5, verse 3 says, in the morning, Lord, you hear my voice. In the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly.
[00:03:00] Speaker B: The beginning of your day can set the direction for everything that follows.
[00:03:05] Speaker C: Before you allow the news, social media, emails and responsibilities to fill your mind, take time to focus on God.
You might begin with a simple prayer, Father, thank you for giving me another day.
Guide my thoughts, words, decisions and actions
[00:03:20] Speaker B: help me honor you today.
Two twelfths, Then read a portion of Scripture.
[00:03:26] Speaker C: You do not need to begin with a complicated routine.
You do not need to spend several hours in prayer.
[00:03:33] Speaker B: Start with consistency.
10 or 15 focused minutes with God is better than planning to spend two hours with God and never beginning.
The goal is not to impress God with the length of your devotional time.
[00:03:46] Speaker C: The goal is to develop a relationship with him.
3 Let God's word guide your steps.
Psalm 119:105 says, you, word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.
[00:04:01] Speaker B: If you want to walk with God,
[00:04:03] Speaker C: you must learn to walk according to His Word.
[00:04:06] Speaker B: The Bible gives you direction when you are confused.
[00:04:09] Speaker C: It gives wisdom when you must make decisions.
[00:04:12] Speaker B: It gives correction when you are going in the wrong direction.
[00:04:16] Speaker C: It gives encouragement when you feel discouraged.
Many people want God to reveal his entire plan for their future, but God
[00:04:25] Speaker B: often gives us enough light for the next step.
You may not know everything about tomorrow,
[00:04:31] Speaker C: but you can obey what God has already revealed today.
[00:04:35] Speaker B: Ask yourself when reading what does this passage teach me about God?
What does it reveal about how I should live?
Is there something I need to believe, change, or obey?
The Bible is not merely a book to finish.
It is God's word to live by March 12.
[00:04:57] Speaker C: Four Talk to God throughout the day.
Walking with God means communicating with him throughout the day.
[00:05:04] Speaker B: First Thessalonians 5:17 says, Pray continually.
This does not mean that you must spend every moment with your eyes closed.
[00:05:13] Speaker C: It means that you can remain aware of your dependence on God throughout the day before making an important decision.
[00:05:19] Speaker B: Pray when you feel anxious. Pray when you are tempted. Pray when you experience something good.
[00:05:27] Speaker C: Give thanks when you do not know what to do. Ask God for wisdom.
Your prayers do not have to be complicated.
[00:05:36] Speaker B: You can say, lord, help me.
Give me wisdom.
Help me respond with patience.
Thank you for your provision.
Help me honor you in this conversation.
Prayer keeps your heart connected to God during ordinary moments.
[00:05:56] Speaker C: Five.
[00:05:56] Speaker B: Obey what God has already shown you.
[00:05:59] Speaker C: One of the most important parts of walking with God is obedience.
Jesus said in John 14, verse 15, if you love me, keep my commands.
Many people want to know God's will for their future while ignoring what God has already commanded them to do.
[00:06:15] Speaker B: They ask April 12th should I move to another city?
Should I change careers?
Should I marry this person?
These may be important questions, but before asking about every future decision, we should
[00:06:28] Speaker C: ask whether we are obeying the clear
[00:06:30] Speaker B: commands of Scripture today.
Are you walking in honesty?
Are you forgiving others?
Are you treating people with love?
Are you avoiding sinful behavior?
Are you being faithful with your responsibilities?
Are you seeking God?
You may not know every detail of God's plan, but you can obey what you already know.
[00:06:54] Speaker C: Often greater clarity comes as we faithfully follow the light God has already given us.
6 Trust God when you cannot see the whole path.
[00:07:06] Speaker B: 2 Corinthians 5:7 says, for we live by faith, not by sight.
Walking with God requires trust.
You will not always understand what God is doing.
There may be seasons when you ask, why is this happening?
Why has God not answered my prayer?
Why did this opportunity disappear?
Why am I still waiting?
[00:07:30] Speaker C: Proverbs 3:5 6 says 5:12 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.
[00:07:37] Speaker B: You do not have to understand everything in order to trust God.
You see one part of the story.
[00:07:44] Speaker C: God sees the whole story.
[00:07:46] Speaker B: You see the present.
[00:07:48] Speaker C: God sees the future.
You see the problem.
God sees what he can accomplish through it.
[00:07:56] Speaker B: Faith means continuing to walk with God even when you cannot see the entire road ahead.
7 Walk with God in every area of your life.
Some people separate their lives into two parts.
They have a spiritual life, then they have everything else.
But God wants to be involved in every part of your life.
[00:08:20] Speaker C: Walk with God in your family. Ask God to help you love, serve and lead your family well.
Work Honor God through integrity, diligence and excellence.
[00:08:30] Speaker B: Finances Manage your resources wisely and generously.
Relationships Treat people with grace, honesty and love Decisions Seek biblical wisdom rather than simply following your emotions.
6 12's Private Life Remember that God sees what no one else sees.
Walking with God means allowing him to influence every part of your life.
[00:08:55] Speaker C: 8 Keep your heart sensitive to God.
The world is full of voices.
[00:09:00] Speaker B: Social media speaks.
[00:09:02] Speaker C: Culture speaks.
[00:09:04] Speaker B: Friends speak.
[00:09:06] Speaker C: Fear speaks.
[00:09:08] Speaker B: Your emotions speak.
But not every voice deserves your attention.
[00:09:13] Speaker C: Jesus said in John 10:27, My sheep listen to my voice. I know them and they follow me.
The more familiar you become with God's Word, the more prepared you will be to recognize what agrees with his truth.
God will never guide you to do something that contradicts his revealed word. If a thought encourages hatred, dishonesty, pride or sin, it does not reflect God's character.
Learn to test what you hear.
Ask does this agree with scripture?
Does this reflect the character of Christ?
[00:09:45] Speaker B: Does this lead me toward obedience?
[00:09:47] Speaker C: Does this produce godly fruit?
[00:09:50] Speaker B: Walking with God requires spiritual discernment.
July 12.
[00:09:59] Speaker C: Nine Stay connected to other believers.
You were not designed to walk with God completely alone.
Hebrews 10:24:25 encourages believers to continue meeting together and encouraging one another.
Christian fellowship is important because we all experience moments of weakness.
[00:10:18] Speaker B: Sometimes you need someone to pray with you.
Sometimes you need encouragement.
Sometimes you need correction.
Sometimes you need someone to remind you of God's promises.
Find mature believers who will help you grow.
[00:10:33] Speaker C: A healthy Christian community can strengthen your walk with God.
[00:10:41] Speaker B: Walking with God does not mean you will never make mistakes.
You may fail.
You may become distracted.
You may give in to temptation.
You may make a decision you regret.
What should you do when you fall?
Return to God first.
[00:10:59] Speaker C: John 1, verse 9 says, if we confess our sins, he is faithful and Justin will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
Do not allow shame to keep you away from God.
[00:11:10] Speaker B: Do not believe that one failure has
[00:11:12] Speaker C: destroyed your relationship with Him.
[00:11:15] Speaker B: Confess your sin.
Receive God's forgiveness.
8:12 Learn from the experience.
[00:11:22] Speaker C: Get up.
[00:11:23] Speaker B: Continue walking.
[00:11:25] Speaker C: A child learning to walk may fall many times.
But falling does not mean the child has failed forever.
[00:11:32] Speaker B: The child gets up and tries again.
The same is true in your walk with God.
Evening Reflect. What did you learn today?
Confess. Bring your failures to God.
Give thanks. Remember God's faithfulness.
[00:11:52] Speaker C: Rest.
[00:11:52] Speaker B: Trust God with tomorrow.
You do not need a complicated system.
9 out of 12 you need a consistent relationship.
[00:12:04] Speaker C: What if you feel far from God?
There may be days when you do
[00:12:09] Speaker B: not feel close to God.
You may feel spiritually dry.
You may pray without feeling anything.
You may read the Bible and struggle to concentrate.
[00:12:20] Speaker C: Do not base your relationship with God entirely on your feelings.
[00:12:24] Speaker B: Feelings change.
[00:12:26] Speaker C: God does not.
[00:12:28] Speaker B: Continue seeking Him.
Continue praying.
Continue obeying.
Continue worshiping.
[00:12:39] Speaker C: Sometimes the deepest growth takes place in seasons when you do not feel strong.
Faith is not only trusting God when you feel his presence.
[00:12:47] Speaker B: Faith is also trusting him when you do not.
[00:12:54] Speaker C: A Prayer for Walking with God Father,
[00:12:57] Speaker B: thank you for giving me the opportunity
[00:12:59] Speaker C: to walk with you each day.
[00:13:01] Speaker B: Help me to seek you in the morning and remember your throughout the day.
[00:13:05] Speaker C: Teach me to love youe Word, listen to youo wisdom and obey youy commands.
Help me trust yout when I cannot see the whole path ahead.

[00:13:24] Speaker B: October 12th I surrender my day to youo in Jesus Name. Amen.
Conclusion Walking with God every day is not about following a perfect religious routine.
It is about living in a relationship with Him.
[00:13:42] Speaker C: It means beginning your day with God, listening to His Word, praying throughout the day, obeying his commands, trusting him in uncertainty, and inviting him into every area of your life.
[00:13:52] Speaker B: You may not always walk perfectly, but keep walking when you fall, return to God when you become distracted, seek him again.
[00:14:03] Speaker C: When you are weak, depend on his strength.
When you do not understand, trust his wisdom.
[00:14:09] Speaker B: The Christian life is a daily walk.
You do not need to know every step ahead.
[00:14:15] Speaker C: You simply need to continue walking with the One who knows the way.
As Colossians 2, 6, 7 says, so then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in Him.
You do not need to walk perfectly to walk with God.
You need to walk faithfully.
